Black Eyed Peas announce hiatus

Last night's Black Eyed Peas concert in Manila was rife with emotion, especially when Fergie declared, "Tonight's like graduation for us, before we take a break." She was also reportedly holding back her tears as she thanked each of her fellow BEP members during their extended encore.

Are they breaking up? Not really, if apl.de.ap is to be believed. He said in an earlier interview that they always have this cycle where they take a break and each member pursues his own projects, much like what Fergie and will.i.am did before when they came up with solo albums.

It's not the Peas's last performance yet, though, as they still have a concert in Miami on November 23. That one, according to their website, will be the group's last performance for 2011. So let's hope their hiatus won't be that long so they can get back on producing good music together. Their group efforts to me are still far better than anything they do individually.

A few weeks ago, I found myself wandering inside Bench Powerplant Mall. And what else would catch my eye but two fragrances by their lonesome twosome, positioned far away from the rest of the brand's scent offerings. They're Basil & Neroli and Green Cedar , both EDTs and part of the  Bench Better Made line . The frags are purported to be vegan and cruelty-free. They come in 125ml dark brown glass bottles and brown paper cylindrical boxes. Nice packaging there except for the cheap, plastic cap. No big deal, though, since they're just Php 428 apiece.

Man of style: Steven Tyler

What? Yes, Steven Tyler. He obviously does not fit the bill of the suited type or the GQ man but hey, the man's got style. And he's got swag, baby! Since joining American Idol , Tyler, together with fellow judge Jennifer Lopez, have glammed up the singing competition with their flair for fashion ( forget Randy; he's hopeless ). And I am more than happy to wait for what he's gonna wear each episode.
